The View from Landmark: Test Pictures

The View from Landmark: Test Pictures

These are 256-color pictures taken June 3, 1995 by Bud Stolker, using a consumer-grade GE color camera. The limited resolution is the fault of our arcane capture process. We videotaped these, then carried them to another VCR, then replayed and captured them with a Cardinal Technologies SnapPlus frame grabber card--through about 40 miles of bad cable. Finally we reduced them from full-screen photos to 200-pixel-wide images to speed loading and to hide some of the focus and resolution problems. In general, we made no post-capture changes in brightness, contrast, color, or image sharpening.
