Information: Personal Computer Support Fees

Dear Landmark Client,

Effective February 1, 1992, Landmark Labs has begun charging clients whose hardware warranties have expired for telephone and in-person consulting and support. Charges are calculated by the minute, so you pay only for actual time spent working on your issues.

If you are interested in ongoing long-term support, consider a Landmark Personal Computer Support Contract. It can cut the cost of support by as much as $25/hour.

We continue to extend free telephone support to clients whose hardware and/or software is under warranty by Landmark. However, support on upgrades is limited to the components and associated software furnished by Landmark. In addition, warranties on repaired components do not in themselves qualify the user for free support.

We continue to provide free diagnostic information to help clients decide if their problem is hardware- or software-related. We reserve the right to charge for support on indeterminate problems on computer systems not currently under warranty.

We must charge for support to install files, configure equipment, and solve software problems on systems not currently warranted by Landmark.

You may charge support fees to your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express account. Email us at Landmark@Landmark.org for an application.

For fifteen years Landmark has offered telephone support without charge for at least a year after purchase. Many of our clients have enjoyed free consulting for years. We regret that the volume of support calls forces us to discontinue unlimited free consulting, and hope you will recognize the value of the information we provide.
