Classes: Some of the best training in town is the least expensive. The Capital PC User Group provides ongoing training on a variety of personal computing topics. SIGCAT (Special Interest Group on CD-ROM Applications and
Technology) offers classes on various aspects of
CD and related technologies.
Computer conferences, expos, and seminars: We kept up a list for a
while, but just listing those events we knew about kept us 'way too busy. Instead we offer pointers to other
sources of conference information on the Web:
- EBN Online: Conferences, seminars, and
exhibitions in the computer OEM and electronics industries
- EXPOguide: Easy to use, comprehensive listing of
trade shows and expos of all kinds (not just computers)
- ICM Conference Guide: ICM Conferences,
Inc. runs high level strategic conferences in Healthcare, Retail Banking, Telecommunications, and
HR/Organizational Improvement.
- Internet Conference
Calendar: Excellent resource for conferences and symposia, expos, and courses and tutorials, with
links to sites world-wide
- Netlib Conference Database
List: Searchable list of meetings concerning computer science and mathematics
- Powersoft International, publisher of
PowerBuilder and Sybase software, promotes its own events.
- ShowNet is Blenheim Group USA's page for
promoting its computer conferences.
- SoftBank Expos: With some technical papers
- Trade Show Central: claims to have the largest
database of trade show information on the Internet.
- Yahoo--Computers and Internet:
